[S1:E31] Who's at the races?
Episode 31, and George Elek looks at two teams on and off the bridle as the EFL turns for home.
George Elek
It’s Cheltenham week. We’ve all been there. You’ve backed something in a big-field handicap that’s settled well and travelled smoothly throughout. As they turn for home, you’re in with a chance, the only problem being the 10 other horses also starting the climb with a sniff.
You don’t watch the others though. Your eyes remain glued to your selection. But gradually, as belief dwindles from winning the lot to a forlorn hope that you’ll nick one of the 4, 5, 6, 7 (delete as applicable) you snaffled this morning. In the end, it’s a walk to the fridge to get another Guinness, bemoaning the fluffed jump at the second last which realistically only cost you a length.
The aim with TLS is that, when we turn for home in the EFL, you’ve backed most of the runners going well, and at prices too. We’ve got a few markets covered, but there’s plenty more to come in the coming weeks.
