The Second Bet of Christmas [SNOOKER]
Craig Edwards leads today's bet with a look ahead to the 2024 World Snooker Championship.
World Snooker Championship
The World Championship bookends the snooker calendar and is the ultimate test of skill, patience, discipline and durability over 17 days at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield. Looking down the list of market favourites this year, we see all the usual suspects right at the top.
The seven-times champion Ronnie O’Sullivan is rightly installed as favourite and is going for a record eighth title at the age of forty-eight.
Judd Trump is this season’s star man with three successive ranking titles and rightly the second or joint-favourite with “The Rocket”.
Four times champion, Mark Selby has often been solid each-way value in recent years and demands the utmost respect at 6/1 upwards in an event where the format suits him ideally.
Mark Allen historically struggles at the Crucible Theatre but has proved himself a different player over the past two seasons with five ranking titles and a semi-final appearance at last year’s World Championship to build on this year.
But is there sneaky value to be found elsewhere?
